As soon as I installed it and grabbed my acoustic to try it out for the first time –– instant gratification. Throw your other tuner away…unless that one’s also a Peterson, for your electric rig, obviously.

Settings havent got a microphone choice

But too expensive. I wish faster access to base frequency setting. I tune harmonicas to different base tuning.

Improved mic sensitivity. I like the new features.

Cheap, professional, detailed tool who gives you 10+ tools than a four time more expensive tuner.

Ill keep it simple. Im not a touring musician anymore, I became a working father. But I still geek out over cool gadgets and this app is no exception. It does an excellent job with tuning, although I cant provide input on sweeteners or all that other stuff. Get it.

I stumbled on to it in the App Store looking for other guitar apps. I did a quick check and yes this really is the same Peterson Strobe in a convenient always on my IPhone and iPad kinda way. I have used the mic function to set intonation on my Fender. It was so easy to use and so accurate. A quick minute later I had it tuned to standard in a snap. I have own several tuners from old pitch pipes to the latest Quartz tuners and the Strobosoft app beats them hands down. I love it.

When purchasing the app, remember what it would cost to purchase a standalone tuner from Peterson! This is a technically advanced app with myriad options and settings for the music teacher or advancing musician.

After trying six free tuner apps and owning eight different clip on tuners I came to the realization I should of never strayed from the master. The Peterson app is fast, responsive, and more accurate then the ears God gave me. After using it on acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, upright bass, and a a friends Lyon and Healy concert harp I realize this is the tuner Ill keep for life. The external clip on mic/pickup is very helpful for noisey jams (only $12 at GuitarCenter.com).

I have the StroboClip tuners for normal use, and this app on my iPhone and iPad for my bench when Im working on my electrics. Simply connect a A/D converter to the iPhone or iPad and a regular guitar cord to the device. I do my own intonation so my guitars are dead-on always, and optimize the pickup height by raising them until I see the harmonics start to pulse. Recommended!

The very best tuner I have found. Accuracy is the first and ultimately the final reason for a tuner app and it is excellent! Second features, and they are the ones you actually use. Half step, capo, sound booster. But first and foremost to me is accuracy and the on screen graphics are very readable. Wish all my apps performed this well on multiple fronts.

A few years ago I had access to a Peterson Strobe Center 5000 which I used to tune my 1976 Fender Rhodes. Many gigs and a few tines later the dreaded process was immanent once again...only this time no SC5K. I already had the app on my phone for tuning my sax so I rolled the dice on the stretch tuning pack. Bottom line: works great. Thanks to Peterson for allowing us poor folk access to an otherwise unaffordable tool!

I use a Peterson Classic Stomp tuner on my pedal board for tuning my electric guitars so I came to this app with high expectations; and my expectations were met. Im combining this app with a Peterson Pitch Grabber Clip-on headstock microphone and the precision is AWESOME. Shop around for a good price on the PItch Grabber. I found mine for $11.95 no shipping/no tax new. So, dont settle for list price on the Pitch Grabber. Now, time to play some guitar!
