This tuner is extremely precise. It also has a couple of great features, like a dynamic noise filter that will take a sample of background noises and digitally filter them out, and a volume boost to get a better audio signal for softer sounds. I actually use it on Ipad to adjust and calibrate Vintage analog synthesizer oscillators, and can actually see their extremely small pitch variations in real time! Does the job of a professional hardware tuner for a fraction of the cost (if you dont count in the price of the Ipod, or worst the Ipad).

My guitars have never sounded so good. It is incredible how precise this tuner is. This is the best app on my iPhone.

Be aware that this app doesnt include sweetened tunings (I wasnt). Please, please, please! add this feature (even as a premium upgrade)... I would pay another 9.99$ just for this!

There is not a better tuner out there as far as speed and accuracy go. Developers: how bout an update that puts the capo settings on the main screen. Like up and down arrows. I find the current capo settings buried too deep. I love this feature. Thanks.

This is a great tuner - better than the half-dozen others I have on the iPhone. Nothing beats a strobe tuner! I have the PolyTune app but its nowhere near accurate enough for me. Id use this tuner exclusively except for one glaring issue: there are no tempered tunings. I know Peterson probably avoids including them because it would cause a massive drop in their pedal tuner sales, but Id pay a premium for their sweetened tunings in this thing (hint, hint)!

I Love the tuner, but why sell the iPad version separately when this version works on iPad anyway. Boo. This irritating point has nothing to do with the functionality of this great app ...5 stars.

Accurate and very functional.

I have the pedal version and the iPhone version. iPhone version doesnt have sweetened tunings. Thats annoying. Dont find the iPhone app to be any more accurate or easier to use than other tuning apps I have. So I dont use it even though I bought it. Do use the pedal though. Wish Peterson would stop crippling the iPhone version and match functionality with the pedal. Its not like Im going to drag the pedal around with me all the time like I do my phone. Thats the whole point, guys.

So I bought this app a while back. Then it stopped working so I went to delete it then re-download it, hoping for the problem to be fixed. This usually fixes any app problems. Normally, iTunes remembers which apps you have previously purchased, so why is iTunes attempting to charge me for an app Ive already paid for?

You think your guitar is on part until you verify it with this tuner... Trust me, you will sound better. Perfect software, just wish they would update the app to take full advantage of the larger iPhone 5 screen @ that price point.... Come on!

this is the best $10 Ive ever spent

This tuner is super accurate and stable. I do have to dampen strings not being tuned sometimes. The customer service is superb! I had some troble with input error messages and the app not working properly when I first upgraded to iOS 7. I sent an email to Petersons customer support and they responed within a couple of hours, let me know about an udate that was in the works and then even notified me when the update was available for download. Highly recommend. Great customer support is not dead!

Why is this app not working on my 5s? Just goes black screen, wont load.

Best app ever

I cant speak for anyone else ... But if you want the kind of high quality that using a Peterson iStrobe will give you. Then this piece of software is for you. Peterson has been the Industry standard for a long time. I have this software and I use their hardware unit as well. I wouldnt do a Musical project without one. Thank you. Earful Audio

Very accurate and visually appealing app. I only use it while practicing and teaching it is handy to not need a clip on tuner. Not sure if I would use as a live tuner as it is sensitive to ambient noise but never the less its handy to have in a pinch.
